On the Noncommutative and Nonassociative Geometry of Octonionic Spacetime, Modified Dispersion Relations and Grand Unification

The Octonionic Geometry (Gravity) developed long ago by Oliveira and Marques is extended to Noncommutative and Nonassociative Spacetime coordinates associated with octonionic-valued coordinates and momenta. The octonionic metric Gμν already encompasses the ordinary spacetime metric gμν , in addition to the Maxwell U(1) and SU(2) Yang-Mills fields such that implements the Kaluza-Klein Grand Unif...

Phase space geometry in scalar-tensor cosmology

We study the phase space of spatially homogeneous and isotropic cosmology in general scalar-tensor theories. A reduction to a two-dimensional phase space is performed when possible — in these situations the phase space is usually a twodimensional curved surface embedded in a three-dimensional space and composed of two sheets attached to each other, possibly with complicated topology. The result...

Non–Commutative Geometry on Quantum Phase–Space

A non–commutative analogue of the classical differential forms is constructed on the phase–space of an arbitrary quantum system. The non– commutative forms are universal and are related to the quantum mechanical dynamics in the same way as the classical forms are related to classical dynamics. They are constructed by applying the Weyl–Wigner symbol map to the differential envelope of the linear...

Phase space geometry for constrained lagrangian systems

We study geometry of the phase space for finite dimensional dynamical systems with degenerate Lagrangians. The Lagrangian and Hamiltonian constraint formalisms are treated as the different local-coordinate pictures of the same invariant procedure. The invariant description is given in terms of geometrical objects associated with the structure of foliation on the phase space.
